Event Coordination Support Compact Course

Event Coordination Support Compact Course

The Skills programme is aimed at individuals who would like to upskill their event knowledge and by doing this equip themselves with the competence to be able to assist in any event coordination capacity.

Our online course is designed and developed to have a 40/60 ratio for theory and practical training. Each student is required to complete the 8 Unit Standards (7 Modules) and 281 practical hours to successfully complete their skills programme.

After completing this skills programme, students will be able to use business protocol, behave professionally, and understand the role of business ethics and professional bodies. They will also learn how to identify the structure and purpose of a team, describe, and apply the roles and responsibilities required to work in a team, identify factors that affect a team in the workplace and review the effectiveness of the team.

The programme will give students an insight into how to care for customers in terms of identifying customer needs and expectations, recognising customer dissatisfaction and identifying and using opportunities to enhance the quality of customer service.

The programme also demonstrates how to minimise and manage safety and emergency incidents by understanding the requirements associated with responsible events. Students will also be guided to investigate employment opportunities in the events industry.

Last, but not least, upon completion, students will be proficient in coordinating event activities, overseeing event resources, evaluating an event, and compiling and communicating an event evaluation report.
